Here are some pics from Lilly's first bath at home. It was not her favorite thing, but she sure did smell great afterwards!

Welcome to the World Little Girl
On Monday, October 27th, we welcomed our baby girl to our family. Lillian Marie Wegener was born at 8:14 am. She weighed 7lbs 5 oz and was 20.5 inches long. She was born via planned C-Section, and as it turned out, she would have had to been born that way as she was breech...a surprise to all of us. She is a beautiful little girl who is SO ALERT! She has a head full of black hair and a sweet little face to go along with it. We are so proud to add her to our family.

Final Weekend as a Family of Three
As we all prepare for the arrival of Lilly this coming up Monday, we wanted to celebrate our final weekend as a family of three. We decided to take part in some traditional fall festivities and went down to Fernwood Botanical Center. We decorated pumpkins and took a stroll through the fall leaves. Jacob had such a good time! It was bittersweet for me thinking that this is one of the last days where it's just us and our little man. Soon it will be the four of us!

Almost there.....38 weeks on Monday!
I can hardly believe that I'll get to meet my little girl in 10 days! It seems all to fast and then again a long time coming. On Monday I'll be 38 weeks, and they are inducing me on the following Monday 10/27. I went to the doctor's yesterday. I'm measuring perfect and her heart rate was great. This, however, is around the time when things started not going right with Jacob, so I'm all sorts of anxious. The doctor asked if she was moving as much as usual, and I responded honestly with "No". I'm sure it's due to the fact that there's not nearly as much room in there as there used to be, but none the less, they didn't like my answer, so they hooked me up to the monitors to be sure. They did a non-stress test to monitor contractions and the baby's heartbeat over a 20 minute period. This is the test that Jacob failed.....Lilly, however, passed with flying colors! All is well with her and I got to see my contractions on paper! That's right people....we are contracting over here! I hope I can make it until the 27th....anyone who knows my Type A personality can appreciate that any earlier would really throw off my plan:) Here's hoping for a fast 10 more days!

It's been too long....
I can't believe how quickly the summer is going by. I think this must be the craziest, most hectic, mega-stressful summer in my entire life. Leave it to me to pack eight million life chages into a few months! So here's the update:
The New House: It can be summed up by saying...Will we ever live there? We have now been living with my in-laws for over a month...and there's really no end in sight. The house was supposed to be done on 7/15....then 8/1....now its 8/29. I keep telling myself that someday...just someday....I actually may sleep in my own bed again, at a house I can call my own. I know I'm being a little over dramatic, but work with me...I'm pregnant.
Speaking of Which: I am turning the corner into my 3rd and final trimester! Lilly is kicking like nobody's business and doing great. I feel wonderful...just really hot! Whoever thought being prego in the summer would be fun is nuts! I should buy stock in Degree deoderant...it's the only thing getting me through :) I go to the doctor tomorrow for my glucose test...hoping all is well there. I'm hoping its good, as I've done much better trying not to eat for eight like I did with Jacob! We are still on track for a C-Section the last week of October (wanna take bets on whether we'll bring the baby home to OUR house or the in-laws??? I don't even want to think about it)
The Fam: Josh and Jacob are having a fun filled summer. Much of Josh's time is spent at the new house trying to get things moving, and Jacob is laughing, taking and growing up way too fast. He's doing cannon-balls off of the diving board into the pool next door and almost potty-trained. I'm very proud. I can't believe how big he is and how grown up he is. Yesterday he came up and put his hand on my belly and said "Lilly inside momma's tummy? Come out when done growing?" Who teaches a kid that? I died laughing!
Overall I really shouldn't complain about things....we are blessed beyond belief. I will just be happy when I can leisurely look back on these days and laugh.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!
I can hardly stand it!!! I am so excited to say that the newest Wegener will be a little girl! We had an ultra sound today and everything looks great....SHE is growing just as SHE should and meeting all of the milestones expected. We are thrilled to welcome a little girl to the family...the place is going to get a whole lot pinker :) I can't wait to meet my Lillian Marie!

Ed+Stacey = One heck of a Girl's Night Out!
As can be imagined, there was nothing but fun to be had on Stacey's Girl's Night Out (GNO). We ate too much food, played games, opened presents, and DRANK....except for us pregos! There was liquor, beer, shots (jello and others--including H2O shots for KT and I) which all added up to 9 girls having a blast. My favorite was the band 4 and 20 who were hilarious, and basically made the night about our Stacey (as it should be). They changed all the words in songs for her and made numerous shout-outs! Here are some highlights from our night.

Things that go Bump in the night
Well, we finally got Jacob's big boy bed set up in his new bedroom and for the last three nights he has successfully slept thru the night. By the light of day, Jacob seemed very excited about this new adventure, but each evening, Josh and I channel Super Nanny while we put Jacob to bed and after he climbs back out, we go and put his back into bed. This is at least a 10 minute process each night, but we're sure our efforts will pay off.

Buchanan...here we come!!!
Believe it or not....WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!! The other day, I was being anal retentive (with my type A personality) and I was out by the mailbox counting the number of for sale flyers that remained. This was my measure of success each day...I know I'm a dork, but stay with me....while making my daily count, one of my friends drove by...Cassie...who lives down the street. She made fun of me briefly and then took one of my flyers in case she ran into someone looking. Well...the stars aligned later that week and a new girl at her work was looking for a house. This couple came by that night to look and the following day decided to buy our house!!! I can hardly believe it! What a huge relief! Now we can move on to bigger and better things in our new house in Buchanan. There's so much to do between now and then, but I'm so excited! YEAH!!!!
Gotta Get 'Em Started Early
So for anyone who know my husband, he is a FREAK about his lawn. Springtime is usually the time for playing outside and enjoying the weather, but for Josh it's simply the time when he gets to mow his lawn, not once, but twice a week. I shouldn't complain because we have the best looking lawn around....but now he's corrupted my son....it's just gotten way out of control. Jacob's only two and look what Josh has him doing.... Like Father, Like Son :)

And Baby Makes 4.....
Well...it's official. Jacob is going to be a big brother. I am a little over 11 weeks pregnant and SO EXCITED!!!! We went to the doctor today, and with what happened last time, had so much anxiety, we could all barely stand it. The doctor looked for a heartbeat, but I was so nervous that he couldn't tell between mine and the baby's. Luckily, he pulled in the ultra-sound machine, and there "it" was. Our little peanut! Baby Wegener was swimming around in there like a champ! Tears of joy were definately flowing! We are all so happy and feeling very blessed. So now the count down starts for Wegener #2's arrival...due date: November 3rd, 2008.

He's just so LITTLE...
The past weekend I had the chance to go and visit my new nephew, Cooper and his lovely parents. Everyone is doing so well...the little man is eating like a champ and his mom is getting around like a super-star. Not bad after a C-Section! I spent most of my visit holding this little bundle of joy (explaining to him that I was his favorite aunt and practicing saying "Aunt Christy"--he's almost there, I swear, he's very advanced :) Anyways, I couldn't get over how small he is....and he really isn't. He was 8lbs 10 oz at birth. I think back to when I brought Jacob home and I can't believe that Jacob was 2lbs smaller...it seems like a different lifetime ago. It will be so fun to see Cooper grow up...to see who's personality he has, to see who he looks like (we've decided he's got my ears....is that possible?), and to see him play with his big cousin Jacob. Cooper Dallen...I just love you to pieces. Welcome to the world big guy!

My Nephew!!!
I am excited to report that I am officially Aunt Christy!!! My baby brother, Craig, (who, okay, really isn't a baby anymore, but you know what I mean) and his lovely wife Allison had a beautiful baby boy on April Fools Day. I originally thought it may be a prank, but quickly realized that it was in fact the truth. My sister-in-law worked hard in delivery, but eventually delivered via C-Section an 8lb 10oz baby boy who they named Cooper Dallen Parks. I'm very proud and can't wait to meet the little guy. I am determined to be his favorite Aunt (Abby...I know I have competition:), so wish me luck!

1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt
In true Easter Bunny Fashion, we successfully hosted our 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Although the weather really didn't cooperate...we "hid" eggs inside instead. We invited Jacob's girlfriend, Lucy, and Lucy's cousin, Hayden to take part in the festivities. Since all the kids are 2 and under, you can see the extent of the "hiding", but they had a good time scooping up the eggs and putting them in their buckets.
Of course my Jacob was all about picking up the eggs...I think it stems from the "neat freak" gene that his Daddy passed down to him! All in all everyone had a blast and got lots of fun trinkets and trash in their Easter Eggs. Hopefully next year we'll be able to do it outside.

All Rise....
Ugh....so today I had my first experience with Jury Duty. I'd never done anything like that...and I have to say, I was very nervous about the whole thing. It went on FOREVER!!!!! Just when I thought that I'd made it through, my name got called. It was like an out of body experience...I was so scared....who knows why, it's not like I did anything wrong! So I go and answer my questions, and just my luck, I get picked. Josh thinks it's hilarious and that I'm serving my civic duty....and he's right, but I'm still terrified. Now I have to go back for the next 2 days and do Juror things, whatever those are. All I could do was to not laugh during court cuz I kept hearing the Judge Woppner (is that how you spell it?) theme song...you know you know what I'm talkin' about.

Home Sweet Home
Well....today we signed the purchase agreement for a new house!!! It's a very exciting and expensive day :) We've been looking for awhile, mostly at vacant land, so we could build a home, but stumbled on this one and couldn't pass it up. Our major motivator was to get into a different school district, and this house put us squarely in Buchanan schools...PERFECT!!! The house sits on 10 acres of woods and is mostly what we wanted, so we took the plunge. Now the challenge is to sell our house and plan the big move. Looks like many obstacles ahead, but somehow I know things will work out.
I can't wait for moving day!!!

Terrific Twos!
It's hard to believe that only two years ago, my little man was born. I can't believe that time has passed so quickly....where there was once a small helpless bundle of love, now stands an opinionated toddler who's confident, outgoing and a complete handful! We had his 2nd birthday party on Saturday. All of his favorites were there....all of his Nanas and Papas, an Aunt or Two and his best Friend Lucy (who Jacob's calls Sue). Elmo hosted the shin-dig and was a big hit! Here are some pics of the party!

Curious Kid's Museum
We loaded up the fam and some friends and made our way to St. Joe so we could hang out at the Curious Kid's Museum. What a great time! All the kids got to play with the water exihibit, slide down a volcano (which erupted periodically and scared them to death), the remote control trucks and a million other fun things.

Birthday Pub Crawl 2008
All I have to say is that April must be the month for making whoopy...cuz there were a lot of folks with January Birthdays! And who would have thought 1 charter bus, beer, jello shots and a bunch of green shirts could add up to such a fun night. It was definately a fun time with some great people....sign me up for next year!

Big Boy Bed
So today we begun the inevitable transition from baby boy to big boy. We bought Jacob his first big boy bed. It seems like yesterday that we picked out his crib and now he's ready for a real big boy bed. It's all very exciting and sad at the same time. I knew he'd grow up, but Mommy wasn't ready for it to happen so quickly! Jacob can't wait to have his own piw-piw (pillow for those of us who don't speak toddler). He lays out our pillows and says night-night. I guess he's getting the idea of the whole thing! Once the furniture arrives and his room is set up, I'll post pics. Now I guess we get to look forward to bedtime wars.....I just hope we don't need to call Nanny 911 for help!

Potty Time
Well...we are definately on our way!!! My little man has officially accomplished a #1 and a #2 in the potty all by himself!!! This is big news people! He's not even 2 yet...I'm so proud. It's the little things in life, ya know? I dream someday of having the diaper budget available for shoes....I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but a girl can dream:)
