Big Boy Bed

So today we begun the inevitable transition from baby boy to big boy. We bought Jacob his first big boy bed. It seems like yesterday that we picked out his crib and now he's ready for a real big boy bed. It's all very exciting and sad at the same time. I knew he'd grow up, but Mommy wasn't ready for it to happen so quickly! Jacob can't wait to have his own piw-piw (pillow for those of us who don't speak toddler). He lays out our pillows and says night-night. I guess he's getting the idea of the whole thing! Once the furniture arrives and his room is set up, I'll post pics. Now I guess we get to look forward to bedtime wars.....I just hope we don't need to call Nanny 911 for help!

Potty Time

Well...we are definately on our way!!! My little man has officially accomplished a #1 and a #2 in the potty all by himself!!! This is big news people! He's not even 2 yet...I'm so proud. It's the little things in life, ya know? I dream someday of having the diaper budget available for shoes....I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but a girl can dream:)

Family Festivities

Well, today was my first day back to work after a 2 week vacation. It was so nice to have such a long time off and an opportunity to celebrate the holidays with so many family members.
We spent Christmas Eve with the Parks side of the family. Here is Jacob with my mom and dad.
Christmas day was filled with Santa fun at home and then Christmas with the Wegeners. Jacob got a new table and chairs from Aunt B. It's adorable and he loves sitting at his very own big boy table.

Then there was fun with Aunt Debbie and the Hinmans.....Here's Jacob with Josh's cousin Jason where he got a squirrel bike. Anyone who knows my kid, knows that squirrels are serious business around our house. Needless to say, the squirrel bike was a big hit!

Last, but not least, was Christmas with Josh's sister and brother-in-law when they came into town. Aunt Nenny (Jennifer) and Uncle Jon.

The best part of the fun was watching my husband, brother-in-law and my father-in-law play with their new helicopters. Mind you, these toys are listed for 3+years, but they seemed to do just fine. Boys and their toys...what's a girl to do?

Overall, a very fun filled 2 weeks!!

Welcome to our Blog!!!

Taking our cue from our more technically savvy friends, we decided to do "the blog thing" and provide a play-by-play from the Wegener household....Okay, maybe not a play-by-play, but periodic updates none the less!
