The Lake

Our new favorite place is the Lake House. It's so beautiful and I'm just so thrilled to watch my kids begin to create memories here! Here are some pics from the first weekend out there. There was still some work to be done, but we had a blast!

Quote of the Week

Potty time has become somewhat of a procrastination technique when it comes to Jacob and bedtime. He knows that if he says he has to go potty, then he can get up and use the bathroom. He's now figured out that if he hangs out there long enough, he can prolong bedtime even further. He was sitting on the potty, having his nightly deep thoughts conversation with me and when I told him he needs to hurry it up because it's late, he said the following:

"Come on poop....it's time to come out! My momma said it's bedtime, so you can't stay in me any more. Come on poop...come on.....don't you want to come out? I think you do." He then looks up at me and says "I don't think it wants to come out....it said it wants to wait 'till morning."

P.S. I have tried to get this on video, but he clams up as soon as the camera goes on :)

The Other Woman....

I really don't know how to begin this post...I guess you could just say that I'm devastated...I'm crushed...and I'm not sure how to proceed. Here I thought things were good...I was happy...then one of my "friends" shows me this love note that MY HUSBAND wrote her...

Good thing he wrote it to Kimber in the 7th grade or he would be in BIG TROUBLE!!!! :)

Jacob has become quite the conversationalist! He cracks me up with some of the matter of fact things that come out of his mouth! This week's quote:

While sitting at Applebees waiting for dinner, the waitress said hi to Lilly and then said hi to Jacob. Jacob replied "Hi, my name's Jacob. That's Lilly. I'm her big brother....I came out first"

At my nephew, Cooper's birthday party, the kids had so much fun on the trampoline! (Side note: static electricity did wonders for Lilly's hair do :)
