Play date!

I rarely get to attend all of the fun playdates with my girlfriends and their little darlings, but I happened to have a day off and we all decided to go to a farm market.  There were a TON of kids and so much fun to be had.  It's days like this that make me want to stay home with my kiddos so we could hang out with these amazing women and their great kids more....given that staying home really isn't a possibility, we'll take as many fun days like this as we can get!

Art Prize

Grand Rapids hosts an annual Art Prize Weekend where local artists display their work at the various museums as well as throughout the streets of down town.  The Children's Museaum closed down their street an hosted a bunch of kid friendly craft stations, bubble making stations, a kid's band, jugglers, etc.  Grandma Parks, Aunt Allison and Cooper all joined in the fun.  It was such a great time!

Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to Three Oaks to visit a local pumpkin patch.  It was sortof a rainy, nasty day, but we were able to pick out a bunch of pumpkins and play in some of the corn mazes, etc.  Despite the rain...they had a great time!

Go Fly a Kite

One very windy weekend, we were at the Lake and it was too cold to be in the water....so instead, we flew kites!!! So much fun!!! The kids loved them, and they even flew after flying into the lake a few times.

Scarecrows!!!

Every year we take part in the "Create your own Scarecrow" activity in town. They set everything up and you just go and pick out a head on a stick, pick out your clothes, stuff it with straw, and add your accessories. This year was great because both kids really got into the action! Both Lilly and Jacob loved playing in all of the straw and stuffing their scarecrows and two really adorable kids, made two really adorable scarecrows for our fall decor!

You've got Mail

It has become somewhat of a routine, that when we are at the lake...Jacob must check the mail box. And, he doesn't just check it once...but each time he's even close to it. Nana, Papa, and Aunt B, have made it their mission to ensure that there is something fun waiting there each time he looks (and he still doesn't know it's them doing it!). They have left him junk mail, personal cards, snap pops, you name it. He loves it!
